Skegness Twinning Association has been in existence since 1979 and members meet several times a year in a friendly and relaxed environment.
The objectives of the association are to promote friendship and understanding between the people of Skegness and Bad Gandersheim.
Some of our members visit Bad Gandersheim every other year, with a group of German visitors coming to Skegness the years in between.
The Association has a good social side and raises funds to help towards the costs of visitors with events being held from time to time throughout the year.

Bad Gandersheim is a town in South Lower Saxony, Germany. The town is full of character and is made up of many half-timbered houses. Bad Gandersheim has established itself as Lower Saxony's largest professional summer theatre festival and has an annual beer festival in September.
With a population of around 10,000, the towns origins can be traced back to the 9th Century, when it was an important administrative centre. However, it was not until the mid 18th Century that the town reached its cultural zenith under the rule of Aebtissin Elizabeth Ernestine Antonie of Saxonia Meiningen.
Today the baroque wing of the abbey, the Emperor Hall, with its paintings and coats of arms, is well worth a visit, and the town prides itself in the activities and events it can offer tourists – particularly its open air festivals and concerts in the grounds of the cathedral. > MORE INFO
